Important information regarding
Opening for Private Prayer
We are pleased to let you know that we will start to open for private prayer on Tuesday (2-4pm) and Thursdays (5-7pm) from this Thursday (9 July 2020). We will start with these times slots initially, but they may change subject to demand and volunteer availability.
We have established risk assessments to mitigate against the spread of Coronavirus following guidelines from the Church of England and the UK Government. On arrival you will be instructed on our procedures so that everyone can stay safe. We recognise that this will be a frustration to some, but please do follow what you are requested to do.
Though some people will want to just pray alone, we will also have someone available to pray with you if you would find that helpful.
This has been a challenging time for many people and it is wonderful to start to open up again and help support people in the community by providing a safe space to seek God’s peace and comfort.
We are also able to provide funerals in church too, though this will be limited in the number of guests able to attend at this time.
Finally, we are reviewing how we could start worship services again.

New Rector Announced
Rev Paul Millard has been appointed the new Rector of St Paul’s and Priest-in-Charge of St Barnabas.
After a year of prayer, hard work, meetings and discernment, we are happy to announce the appointment of Rev Paul Millard as Rector of St Paul’s Church and Priest-in-Charge of St Barnabas Church, Leeman Road. Paul was previously Assistant Curate at Clifton Parish York.
Stopped by the restrictions has been the licensing of Paul Millard as our new Rector on 22nd April. This will happen as and when the restrictions are lifted enough for us to have a full service and celebration. Paul has been given a PTO, Permission To Officiate, by the Archbishop to enable this to happen. This means he was able to start with us and St Barnabas from 20th April.
Hallelujah and welcome to Paul.
